Erda's Ring

During my archeological diggings I found this strange stone disc, depicting a female bard with a ring-shaped harp.

But her song was not directed by the tales she sung about - well, so it is written on the metal plates to the left. Instead it seems, that the tales were directed by her song. Yes, indeed. Her song had given fate to the world.

And when the disc rotates, her song magically echoes through my research cave. I tried to arrange the melody on a sheet of music and imagined how she might have moved like on a rhythm sheet. I imagine the most beautiful thing a man's eye will ever see, flowing through the air, bewitching him and shattering right in front of him. Just to then, show what is hidden below: A living orchestra.

But... this is just my interpretation. Who am I to know anyway.

An attempt at visual storytelling through symbolism.

When her story began, the world bent to her will like the wind.

When her story began, the world bent to her will like the wind.

And all will dance to her pipe, before her story will end.
